Job Description:

he Data Warehouse/BI developer will be working with the Data Warehouse team in a matrix reporting organization environment. He will be coordinating with the project stake holder which include the C-level executives, senior management, middle management and the other members of the data warehouse team to deliver solutions that aid the reporting, analytics requirements.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Evaluate the scope of big and small projects, communicate it to the rest of the team and business stake holders
  • Create the ETL routines (Custom routines/jobs/work flows as well as using ETL tools) in development and devise the roll out plan
  • Verify the data load and ensure data quality
  • Migration of Reports from one BI technology stack to another
  • Take ownership of the data warehouse schema

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • 4 years of University degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • 2-4 years of experience in a data warehousing environment as a data warehouse developer
  • 2 years of expertise in any of the following databases: SQL server, Postgres, MySQL, Oracle
  • Average proficiency in any of the following technologies -.Net, Core Java.
  • ETL experience using any of the following Pentaho , SSIS, Informatica, DataStage or any other leading ETL tool
Nice to have:
  • Past experience on BI tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Pentaho BI, JasperSoft or Microstrategy
  • Past experience working with SPSS, rapidminer, analytic tools. Good understanding of statistical algorithms
  • Past Experience with NoSQL databases (mongodb) and column oriented databases (Amazon RedShift)
