Job Description:

  • Research and analyze new ideas for sustainability in the data centers. Identify options and alternative approaches. Develop a framework for evaluating and tracking alternatives that takes into account all facets of sustainable decision making. Projects will vary widely, including energy, materials, water, land use, etc.
  • Lead implementation of sustainability projects, which will involve building cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, network and platforms engineers. Develop project plans, track milestone progress, and report status.
  • Develop financial analyses that support the business and environmental case for moving forward with projects.
  • Track carbon saving initiatives at the data centers, and produce annual report on costs and payback.
  • Empower project team members and colleagues to think holistically about sustainable solutions, expand their thinking, and strive to do what’s right in the big picture

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree or PhD in related field.
  • 8 years of relevant work experience in data centers and/or industrial, mission-critical facility.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including ability to synthesize information to see the big picture while effectively managing details.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment and work.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
